Her striking action shot Coming Through, showing a roe kid in motion, secured her the overall title. The British Deer Society said the image “stood out for its clarity, energy and sense of connection, capturing a moment both powerful and fleeting”.
Speaking to Shooting Times, Ms Heath expressed her delight: “All my hard work – early rises, late finishes, hours of sitting in hedgerows being stung by nettles and eaten by midges – paid off.” She added that she hopes her success will “inspire other women to pick up their cameras”.
