A dog walker found the bird on 6 March, but it is believed that the buzzard could have been there for up to three days. PC Hannah Medley said: ?We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area any time from the morning of Sunday, 3 March, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to contact the police.?
