Three thousand city schoolchildren have had the chance to experience the countryside thanks to the Countryside Live event organised by the Countryside Foundation for Education (CFE).

Find out more.The two-day event, supported and hosted by BASC, was held at Lee Valley Park, Waltham Abbey in Essex, with children learning about a number of issues including airgun safety and the food chain.
Jane Matthews, a training officer at BASC, said: “This event is a wonderful opportunity to introduce city children to aspects of the countryside that they may otherwise never have experienced.”
