Twenty-seven teams of game and clayshooters came together for the event which was sponsored by Torne Valley Farm and Country Stores, BASC , Eley Hawk, Guy Salmon Land Rover and JF Nevilles. In addition to excellent clayshooting guests enjoyed good food, a gun dog display, sporting air rifles, archery and the obligatory welly wanging.
GB team shooter John Dunne showed great form winning the individual HG missing only two clays all day.
BASC sponsored two teams of junior shooters with local lad Joe Flannery winning the Junior High Gun. Joe starts work experience with the Sandbeck Estate’s gamekeeping team this summer. Eley Hawk ensured that the day’s high achievers went away happy with some Zenith cartridges.
