A massive clay pigeon shootathon at Lambton Estate, Chester-le-Street, has raised nearly £10,000 for local charities.

One hundred teams of four, from across the UK, battled it out over two days, competing in seven flushes of 75 birds at different locations across the estate – 525 rounds in total.
The eventual winner of this marathon battle was the Staffordshire Game Farm team, with 483.
The event proved so popular that it will now become an annual competition – the Lambton Team Shoot.

?We were able to donate a cheque for £5,000 to the North Air Ambulance Association and one for £4,330 to the Spider Appeal.?
