The CA?s chairman, Labour MP Kate Hoey, who launched the appeal on 20 March, said: ?It has never been more important that the CA has the ability to influence public, political and media opinion. The CA is the only organisation campaigning for repeal of the Hunting Act and, though repeal would be a great victory in itself, it would also protect all other country pursuits for a generation and open the way for policies that address the real needs of rural communities. We cannot waste this unique opportunity, which is why the CA is calling for the support of everyone who loves the countryside.?
