Find out moreAt a meeting with the British Association for Shooting and Conservation in Whitehall on 5 March, Lord Rooker said he would be advising secretary of state, Hilary Benn, the register should not be used for any commercial purpose or for the use of HM Revenue and Customs.
The GBPR was created in 2005 to list poultry keepers names and details to provide DEFRA with personal information in the event of a bird flu outbreak.
