In an exclusive interview in this week’s Shooting Times, the environment minister, Richard Benyon MP, calls for shooting people to do more to promote their sport.

A keen shooting man himself and the recent winner of the GWCT’s Grey Partridge Trophy for his conservation work on his Englefield estate in Berkshire (News, 26 June), Mr Benyon says: “Every shooting person has a job to do to sell the virtues of what they do. Part of that is to show that shooting is for all age groups and income groups, and is available to both urban and rural people.”
