A Derbyshire shooting ground is set to offer the largest prize pot in UK clay shooting history this June: £400,000, including a £180,000 bonus for anyone capable of shooting a perfect score.
The TopGun Championship at Eaton Hall Shooting Ground, Doveridge, runs from Saturday 6 to Sunday 14 June 2026, with competitors shooting 250 targets of English sporting across two days before the top guns from each class and category go head-to-head on finals day.

The Overall TopGun Champion will walk away with £40,000. But it is the £180,000 bonus hanging over the Super Final that sets this competition apart from anything staged in British clay shooting before. At the time of writing, full details of how the bonus will be won are yet to be published.
First place in each of the five lettered classes in the main event final carries £5,000, while in the Ladies, Vets, Super Vets, Colts and Juniors categories, first place carries £2,000. All 146 competitors who make it through to finals day are guaranteed at least £250.
A parallel Sportrap Challenge runs throughout the week across five layouts, with its own £5,000 top prize and a separate prize fund for every class and category.

Eaton Hall Shooting Ground’s owner, Amy Phillimore, said: “This is an event open to anyone – a high-pressure, electric atmosphere with a prize pot that has the power to change someone’s life.”
The ground, which came under new ownership in 2025 and underwent extensive renovation, won Ground of the Year at both the Great British Shooting Awards and the CPSA Awards earlier this year.
Entry to the main event is £250, with the Sportrap at £95. Bookings are open now at bookings.eaton-hall.com.
