BASC hosts shooting competition in memory of Hugh van Cutsem
A competition to honour the memory of keen Shot and countryman Hugh van Cutsem will take place at the Six Mile Bottom shoot near Newmarket in Cambridgeshire on 9 August. Organised by BASC, it is supported by a number of organisations, including the Countryside Alliance, the Country Land & Business Association, the Moorland Association and the National Gamekeepers Organisation. Fifty teams will compete across six stands with a mix of simulated game targets. Funds raised will go to the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, which offers financial help to retired and working farming people.
The winning team will receive the Hugh van Cutsem Challenge Cup which will be presented by Emilie van Cutsem. Entry costs £600 for a team of four including clays, cartridges and lunch. To book, ring BASC Central on 01283 810910 or email central@basc.org.uk.
