GWCT tree-planting project reaches 1,600
<strong>The GWCT's Woodlands for Black Grouse project aims to increase woodland habitats</strong>
The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) Woodlands for Black Grouse project has planted 1,600 trees to improve winter feeding habitats for the endangered species since it started two years ago.
Supported by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the project aims not only to increase woodland habitats, but also to help the public learn about the rare blackgrouse in the Northern Pennine Hills.
