We all know that fieldsports have been under threat more than ever in the past few months and a visit to the iVHS will allow you to do your bit – in 10 days the ongoing silent auction has raised over £30,000 (at the time of writing).
There are some excellent shooting lots available. You could bid for Highland deer stalking in Sutherland or in North Yorkshire. A sporting weekend with shooting, hunting, dining and accommodation in Derbyshire, woodcock and snipe shooting on Bodmin Moor, driven duck shooting in Northamptonshire. At the bottom of each lot it clearly states where the money raised will go to – so you know you’re doing your bit whilst organising some future fieldsports activity.

There are many more shooting and sporting lots which will appeal to fieldsports fans. Shooting Times contributor Simon Whitehead is also offering a catch and cook ferreting experience. Ferreters will enjoy being with such an expert and receiving useful and practical tips.
Shooting UK chatted to an iVHS spokesperson who said: “You can donate to various country charities, including: Country Food Trust, Injured Jockeys Fund or the Hunt Servants Fund. You choose which one you want to support.”
Shopping
The site offers plenty of retail therapy with many of the names you’d expect to see at a country fair. You also have the opportunity to support rural businesses – for example photographers.
In the 3D art gallery you can browse through a selection of paintings and photographs available to buy – perfect to give a fieldsports lover.
