John Bidwell takes High Gun at British FITASC Grand Prix

Former World FITASC Sporting shooter and Sporting Gun contributor, John Bidwell might shoot in the Veterans? Class these days but he is still capable of taking on the younger, big names – and beating them.

At the recent British FITASC Grand Prix he shot 189 ex 200 to not only win the Vets category, but take High Gun spot as well!

The course, designed by multiple World Champ, George Digweed proved a tough nut to crack but John?s score put him clear of the field by a single target.

George tied for second place on 188 with Mark Winser.

How has John managed to stay at the top of this sport for so long?

?I suppose it?s because I?m as keen on it now as I was 40-odd years ago when I first started. I love the winning feeling but more than anything it?s my really easy maintained lead technique that keeps me competitive ? that, and still having good eyesight!? he said.
