FIELDSPORT24 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 1 October 2024. The event seeks to emulate the success of the educational #FARM24 social media campaign, by shining a spotlight on the diverse and vibrant world of fieldsports.
The initiative aims to reach beyond the usual fieldsports audience and encourage new participants from diverse backgrounds to discover the joys the worlds of shooting, fishing, stalking, hunting and conservation have to offer.
The event hopes to engage seasoned enthusiasts and beginners alike through livestreams and interviews from experts and influencers in the fieldsports world. There will also be virtual tours of shooting grounds, fishing spots and conservation areas across the UK.
FIELDSPORT24 looks to highlight the importance and benefits of fieldsports to conservation and community building while celebrating the heritage and traditions that have shaped fieldsports and society over the years.
Fieldsports practitioners can often live in isolated rural locations so FIELDSPORT24 hopes to foster a sense of unity and support amongst these geographically disparate communities by sharing stories of resilience, dedication and success.
The campaign invites anyone with an interest to participate by sharing their own fieldsports stories, photos and videos on social media using the hashtag #FIELDSPORT24.
Joanne Perrott, Founder of The Ladies Working Dog Group said “Lucy’s initiative with FIELDSPORT24 is truly inspiring. It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase the passion, dedication and camaraderie that define fieldsports.
“As a group dedicated to celebrating women’s involvement, we’re excited to showcase the incredible work of our members and the vital role working dogs play in these pursuits. The LWDG is proud to join forces with Lucy, Tania and the entire fieldsports community to celebrate our rich heritage and inspire a vibrant future for this wonderful tradition.”
Tania Coxon, Founder of The Country Girls UK added: “FIELDSPORT24 aligns perfectly with our mission to encourage greater engagement in country pursuits. We believe this initiative will inspire people to see the fieldsports community in a new light, recognising the incredible benefits the industry offers.
“We hope FIELDSPORT24 will motivate individuals to try activities they haven’t considered before or explore careers they never thought possible. We are thrilled and proud to be part of this event and look forward to showcasing the remarkable experiences and contributions of everyone involved in the feldsports community.”
