Dee Doocey said: “This is a serious development in a sorry saga. I hope the Olympic Board listen and learn. They must reconsider their decision to choose Woolwich as the temporary venue for shooting.?

“Everyone involved in shooting sports in the UK wants shooting to be at Bisley, as it will provide a lasting legacy for future generations. Bisley has proved time and time again that it can host major events including the shooting for the Commonweath Games in 2002.?

“The site of Woolwich will merely be a temporary structure. It will leave no legacy for the sport and will simply be a huge waste of money. This is not what Londoners signed up to.”
