Major mobile phone carriers unblock Shooting Times site

Virgin Mobile and Vodafone have lifted age-based restrictions on the shootingtimes.co.uk mobile website following pressure from BASC. The move means customers will no longer have to contact their phone providers to request permission to view the site.

BASC policy manager Conor O’Gorman told Shooting Times: “It is encouraging that all shooting websites reported to Virgin Mobile and Vodafone have now been unblocked. BASC is continuing to work with companies to remove unwarranted restrictions on shooting content wherever we come across them and I would urge mobile users and website owners to keep reports coming in.”
