Find out moreThe Scottish Government launched Wildlife Estates Scotland (WES) last week, a new initiative that aims to highlight the contribution made to conservation by private landowners. The group was developed by the Scottish Rural Property & Business Association and the Scottish Estates Business Group, with advice from Scottish Natural Heritage, the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Cairngorms National Park.
Scottish environment minister Roseanna Cunningham said: ?Scotland?s sporting estates make an important contribution to our economy and have a vital role to play in managing our countryside, so I?m pleased to see them getting involved in this Europe-wide initiative.?
