Natural England (NE) has published visual interactive guides to advise on managing habitats for species. The guides come under NE?s ?Mosaic Approach?, which forms part of ?Biodiversity 2020?, the Government?s strategy for people and wildlife in England. The guides are aimed at land managers, and show them how to ?manage habitats in a way that supports multiple species by developing ?mosaics? of different environmental features at a landscape scale, within a range of habitat types.? The interactive guides show how the Mosaic Approach can be applied to specific habitats. NE has so far published guides to woodland, brownfield/open mosaic habitats, lowland grasslands, lowland heathland and salt marsh. More guides are being developed.
