New report shows reduction in poisoning

New figures from the Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme show that the total number of accidental and animal poisoning incidents in Scotland was 175 for 2008, a drop of 15 on the previous year.

The figures include 11 deliberate attacks on birds of prey. Environment minister Roseanna Cunningham said the reduction in incidents was not enough and that more needed to be done.
