Iconic London gun maker, James Purdey & Sons, has been given the 'Timeless Classic Award' by Sporting Classics Magazine for its 12-bore side by side Hammerless Ejector Game gun.

First made more than 130 years ago, Purdey?s hammerless ejector is still produced today using exactly the same skills and techniques as in 1880.
This classic light game gun features the unique and highly effective Purdey ?self-opening action?, designed by former Purdey action filer Frederick Beesley, whose patent was bought by James Purdey the Younger the same year.
