Scale of UK’s wildlife crime to be examined

The House of Commons select committee responsible for monitoring environmental protection and sustainable development has launched an inquiry to examine the scale of wildlife crime in the UK.

The inquiry will consider damage and destruction to species and habitats, as well as the role of the Government and other bodies in preventing, detecting and prosecuting crimes.

Evidence should be submitted before 24 February.
