Jonny recently became the 2015 Gallery Rifle Centrefire and 1500 Smallbore National Champion. He adds this to a string of recent wins in the shooting pistol discipline, having won events at the Phoenix, Gallery Rifle National Championships and the Irish Open.
Now aged 29, Jonny is from Angus in Scotland, and has been shooting for most of his life. He joined the Army Cadets at the age of 13 which landed him a place on the British Cadet Rifle team.
To top off a very successful year Jonny has even more reason to celebrate as he has now been sponsored by Edgar Brothers.
He will receive a .22 semi-automatic pistol from German Sport Guns, worth £490, and Fiocchi High Velocity .22 LR 40gr ammunition.
Derek Edgar, Managing Director of Edgar Brothers, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor Jonny Cormie, one of the country’s best .22 pistol and rifle shooters and look forward to supporting him in his quest to win many more competitions.”
