Side-by-Side Championship: This year's British Open Side-by-Side Championship will be held at the Aktin Grant & Lang Shooting Ground in Hertforshire on September 20.
The British Open Side-by-Side Championship is open to owners of traditional side-by-side shotguns who this year will shoot a testing 120-bird round that includes two sequences of 20 targets shot as grouse and rabbits.
The side-by-sides used at the Side-by-Side Championship can be of British or foreign manufacture.
Classes and prizes available are: 12 bore, small bore, hammer, lady high gun and young shot. A £300 cash prize will be awarded to the highest score on the day.
Charlie Steward-Wood, shooting ground director said: “We have been looking forward to the Side-by-Side Championships for several months now as we believe that it will a fun day but with some testing targets, especially our new Coverhead Grouse Sequence.”
The British Open Side-by-Side Championship will start at 10am with the prize-giving at 3pm. The cost of entry is £50 with a re-entry cost of £39. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
