Engineers are examining bridges in the Cropton area of North Yorkshire after a steel footbridge in use by Guns and beaters on a shoot at High Askew a fortnight ago collapsed, injuring two of the party. A 65-year-old man was flown by air ambulance to hospital, but was later released. ?The bridge had been crossed thousands of times by shooters,? said James Wood, whose father, Mike, has shooting rights in the area.
