Yorkshire drinks maker Raithorpe Manor won three gold stars at the recent 2014 Great Taste Awards for their unique Damson Port Liqueur after blind tasting.

“Being awarded three stars is a huge achievement,” explained Tortie Farrand, spokesperson at the Great Taste Awards. “It means that the product has been blind tasted over and over again and that all the judges who taste it feel that the product is WOW.”

The company also picked up a gold star for their Sloe Whiskey and Sloe Port Jelly.

Raisthorpe Manor has produced two other unique drinks. The UK’s first Sloe Port – which we’re giving away free to anyone who subscribes to Shooting Gazette at the Midland Game Fair – and Sloe Sherry have been on sale since 2010.

We’re also giving away a free bottle of Raisthorpe Manor’s Sloe Gin to anyone who subscribes to Sporting Gun at the Midland Game Fair.
