Why is it that you can have a realistic decoy set up with bobbers, floaters and the rest but it takes only one pigeon to settle in a different part of the field and woodies come to it from all directions?
PETER THEOBALD says: No matter how realistic we make our pattern, with whirlies or flappers, it is never going to look as good as a real pigeon landing.
Plus, it is likely to land in the open where every other pigeon can see it, and in a part of the field where it wants to be.
My golden rule is that, if pigeons land in another part of the field on a regular basis, MOVE to that part of the field.
