Shane was sent the Winchester SCP in marshland camo pattern
I first came across the SXP a few years ago when my very good friend and wildfowling westcountryman Chris Green was in the market for a new shotgun. He was after something other than his G.E Lewis 8-bore for wildfowling and something that wasn’t going to cost a small fortune to feed. Chris had lost faith in semi-autos so the only real option was the pump-action. After telling him, “with prices starting from £340 for a painted 3½in chambered gun that’s steel proof you really can’t fault them,” he duly came and tried it on the ground – he shot well with it and the deal was done. I’m glad to say he’s continued to shoot well with it and hasn’t missed a beat.
