Toomer Brothers, Britain?s most contemporary shooting brand, will be the first UK company to sell the iPad case made of shotgun recoil technology.

The material is the same as that found on the stock of a shotgun, making use of internal air cells that absorb impact to protect the tablet should it be dropped or put under pressure.

The result is a rigid case that absorbs impacts like a soft case and provides the same protection as a case twice as thick.

Also unlike soft rubber cases, the material is ?anti-lint? so repels fluff and dust.

Importantly, the case is recognisably ?shotgun tech? in its appearance and is being billed as this Christmas?s must have shooting gadget.

The super slim (18.8mm) case fits all iPad 2 and iPad 3 tablets and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Clive Green, CEO of Toomer Brothers, said: ?Whether you?re a shooter out in the field or a foreman on a building site ? this is the ultimate iPad case when it comes to damage limitation.?

?However, like all Toomer Bros products ? it was important to us that it not only does the best job possible, but looks the part too. We think we?ve achieved this balance perfectly.?

The case will retail at £40 and is available to order from now.

Toomer Brothers launched in summer 2011 with its flagship creation: a technical shooting jacket designed and built to surpass current products in both form and function.

The two-piece jacket was the first of its kind to be created collaboratively, using ?crowd sourcing? from online field-sports communities to ensure it included the features that serious shooters were looking for.

In April it added its iPhone 4/4S case and is planning a range of new products for release in early 2013.
