Representatives from a consortium of farmers who joined forces to create a landscape-scale conservation project attended an event in London to celebrate the first anniversary of the Marlborough Downs Nature Improvement Area (MDNIA).

The project, which is one of the 12 selected to join the England’s Nature Improvement Area (NIA) programme, worked in partnership with the GWCT. Wildlife minister Richard Benyon met with Jemma Batten, project manager for the MDNIA, Chris Musgrave, one of the project farmers, and Teresa Dent, chief executive of the GWCT.
