George Wallace
This is one of those impossible questions to answer because every stalker out there has their own idea about what makes a good, or bad, knife for the job.
Me?
After buying and discarding all manner of knives over the years I have now settled on a folding Kershaw knife with a 3 1/2in blade for regular field use, along with a five-inch filleting knife and a broad bladed sheath knife, again Kershaws.
Between them they do a fine job of gralloching a deer but if I had to make do with just the one it would be my folder with its drop point blade.
It does everything I ask, it’s easy to clean and it’s much easier to carry.
