Geri Horner, as she is now known, has taken to country life with enthusiasm since marrying in 2015 and lives with her husband on an estate in rural Oxfordshire.
Mrs Horner was perfectly dressed for the day in a shirt, leather gilet and cap, finished off with safety glasses and all-important ear protection and posted selfies of herself on Instagram.
Wings for Life presents The Clay Day 2017 from Wings for Life on Vimeo.
Five clay stands were set up and the event was hosted by Christian Horner, Red Bull Principal and David Coulthard, the Wings 4 Life Ambassador.
Wings for Life funds much-needed research into spinal injurities. It is a charity close to the entire Red Bull Family which supports the cause in any way possible. As well as clayshooting days, it holds fundraising runs around the world.
Last year’s clay day raised £80,000 which was nearly doubled by this year’s sum of over £115,000 (enough to fund a research project for a whole year). Just goes to show that people enjoy a day clayshooting!
There were five clay stands in total. The Wings for Life charity advised: “Two final stands were then taken on inclusive of a very special addition. Paul Bailey is a three time World and European Champion in the clay pigeon shooting disabled seated class. Guests were privileged enough to have Paul as the sixth member of their team at the Horseman’s ride stand, which helped to significantly up their points. Paul has now reached the Olympic final in trap shooting and we wait in anticipation to witness his achievements in the first official Paralympic World Cup this year.”
First place went to Team Red Bull UK (Andy Shaw, Paul Stewart, Mike Tindall, John Ford and Matthew Laurenson).
