Robin Owen Conducktor call reviewed

Like a lot of wildfowlers, I rarely venture out onto the foreshore without my trusty calls around my neck. The latest one to join my collection is a handmade Robin Owen Conducktor call.

Robin hand-crafts every component of the call and it is clear to see that a lot of care and attention has gone into making each one. He makes them out of a range of wood and acrylic to match the customer’s preference. My particular call is a single reed mallard call made from African blackwood and ambonya bur. It is quite simply the most beautiful call that I’ve ever had the pleasure of using and not only does it look the part but it also sounds it too.

A very easy call to use, even for beginners! The price of the calls starts at around £40, but the cost varies depending on each call. My call cost £67, plus postage.
