Will my decoy machine work in frost and snow?

My whirly machine proved a godsend in spring/summer over peas and cereal crops. I am now looking forward to trying it on winter rape but (if we get really hard weather) will it work in frost and snow covered fields?

PETER THEOBALD says:
I would also like to know how a whirly decoyer will perform in snowy conditions, but, not having had snow in these parts since the machine was invented, I have not had the chance to find out!

That said, I imagine it will work very well, despite the fact most people believe pigeons become ‘snow blind’.

I think the constant movement of the machine will do the business, but don’t hold it against me if doesn’t!

Please let me know how you get on with yours – and the same goes for any other reader who happens to find themselves shooting in snow this winter.
