The Environment Minister has announced that eagles owls will not be culled for the time being
Despite the RSPB?s concern about the risk eagle owls pose to hen harriers, environment minister Richard Benyon has announced that the UK?s wild eagle owls will not be culled for the time being. He said: ?After considering all the facts on the threat that eagle owls pose to native wildlife, I have not been convinced that any immediate action is needed to control them. We will continue to monitor the effect that they are having on other species, such as hen harriers.?
