National Shooting Week 2013 takes place between the 25th May and 2nd June
The seventh annual National Shooting Week, which enables anyone to try shooting for the first time and promotes understanding of legal firearms and airguns, begins this Saturday, 25 May.
The minister for sport, Hugh Robertson MP, has given his backing to the event, as has shadow minister Clive Efford MP.
Mr Robertson said: ?Shooting is in a great position to capitalise on the Olympic gold medal success of Peter Wilson last summer. National Shooting Week will further shine a spotlight on the sport and encourage the next generation of shooters to get involved.?
During the week, which is run by the Countryside Alliance, doors will open at a large number of participating clubs and clay grounds around the country.
