Royal Mail gun ban.
Its definition of ?guns for sporting use? will be amended specifically to prohibit firearms listed in Section 5 of the 1968 Firearms Act, such as revolvers.

The definition of ?ammunition? will also be amended specifically to exclude lead pellets and other airgun projectiles, so that they are allowed without restriction.

BASC welcomed the clarifications, and said it awaited the outcome of a consultation on proposals to ban the transportation of guns and component parts.
