The nominations are open for the 2025 Eat Game Awards, which celebrate the success, innovation and passion of “game meat heroes”.
Eat Game — BASC’s game meat promotional brand — is calling for nominations for businesses and individuals to be judged across eight categories: best restaurant, chef, small and large retailer, butcher, educator, innovator and influencer.
Shooting Times contributor Cai ap Bryn was named Best Game Influencer at the 2024 awards for the work he does through his business, Game and Flames. He said: “It is an amazing feeling to win, but it’s the people you meet along the way and the networking and support you get. That’s what’s really good about the award, the community behind it.”
After the success of the 2024 awards, which attracted more nominations and more votes than ever before, BASC head of wild food, Annette Woolcock, said: “Last year it was great to see so many new faces being recognised for the amazing work they continue to do year after year. We hope to see even more nominations this year, so make sure you put forward your own game meat heroes.”
