The Great British Shooting Awards crowned their seventh set of winners on 14 February, with Shooting Times claiming the title of Favourite Shooting Media Brand. ST regulars were among the winners and retiring executive director of Gun Trade Association, Simon West, received the lifetime achievement award. First launched in 2018, the aim of the Awards is to give recognition to the products, organisations and people that make fieldsports tick. HikMicro joined as the Awards’ headline sponsor and picked up the spoils for handheld thermal and thermal clip-on units as voted for by the shooting public.

Contributors
Shooting Times contributor Chris Dalton was crowned Professional Stalker of the Year for the seventh consecutive year and Ellena Swift was named Gundog Trainer of the Year for the second time, having also won the award in 2022. Rifle shooting aficionado Bruce Potts was named as the inaugural Sporting Contributor of the Year.

Speaking after the event, Shooting Times Editor Ollie Harvey said: “To be named as the nation’s favourite shooting media brand is a fantastic reflection of the hard work that goes into producing this magazine every single week. “I am proud that we are still able to produce a title that is as cherished today as it has been for more than 140 years. Our brilliant contributors and dedicated team are essential to the ongoing success of Shooting Times, so it is great to see their hard work being recognised with these awards,” he added.
