It is hoped that the week will educate more people about the way hunts work and the role they play in the British countryside.
The Countryside Alliances Chloe Finch said: With repeal a distinct possibility, hunting must continue to sell itself to a wider audience. Estimates suggest there has been an 11 per cent rise in support for hunts since the 2004 Hunting Act came into place. Hunting Newcomers Week is designed to encourage further support for country sports, meaning that hunting will remain an accessible activity available to all for years to come.
