NFU urges vigilance on vehicle security
The National Farmers’ Union is urging countryside workers to step up security measures this winter to safeguard vehicles, machinery and fuel supplies.
Figures released earlier this year showed farm machinery thefts in England shot up by 41 per cent in 2007. The theft of diesel and heating oil is also cause for concern. NFU Mutual has drawn up a list of essential security measures which can be viewed on its website, visit www.nfuonline.com
