Competition
WORTH £1,000
Fancy a full day in the Kent countryside with barely a moment to let the barrels cool? We have teamed up with JBD Sporting to give one lucky reader four pegs on a simulated game day worth £1,000, with birds pouring overhead, more than 400 clays a Gun and proper hospitality to finish.
The winner takes a team of four pegs on a simulated game day with JBD Sporting, staged across three of their Kent grounds: Stalisfield, Owley and Denton Estate. Each Gun gets through more than 400 clays over the course of the day, and hospitality is included, so all you need to bring is your gun, your cartridges and a few good shooting companions. Altogether the day is worth £1,000.
A sim day recreates the feel of a traditional driven shoot, but with clays standing in for live quarry. Targets are thrown high and fast to mimic the birds you would meet in the season: towering pheasants, curling partridges, the odd grouse, a passing pigeon and even a bouncing rabbit along the ground. There is no game licence to sort and no season to wait for, and the targets can be pitched to suit everyone, from a first-timer finding their feet to a seasoned shot after a proper testing.

JBD Sporting run their simulated days across some of the finest rolling countryside in Kent, using the natural contours of Stalisfield, Owley and Denton Estate to send clays streaming off the tree lines and down the valleys. It is a relaxed, sociable way to shoot a lot of targets in good company, with a proper welcome and hospitality rounding off the day.
