“This now will be my go-to scope” – the new ZEISS V8

The new improved ZEISS V8 riflescope family is, in our opinion, superb for its purpose.

However we wanted to see what an experienced stalker would make of it – with no holds barred. So we gave one to Paul Childerley to try out in the field. Paul is a gamekeeper, pro stalker and has been managing the muntjac and Chinese water deer population in Bedfordshire since 1998.

Another feature Paul particularly notes is the way the new ZEISS V8 mounts effortlessly onto the rifle, for a lightweight and perfectly balanced setup.

Extra large eyebox

The extra-large eyebox is a feature users will notice and appreciate immediately, as it gives them more room to position their eye. Getting on target quickly is key to successful hunting and a large eyebox makes this much easier, allowing eye and ocular to work together in swift unison.

ZEISS has designed its scopes to be used with both eyes open – so the hunter feels more connected and aware of the local environment.

ZEISS V8 riflescopes are designed to cope with extreme weather conditions, whether desert heat or freezing snow.
Salt water has no effect on the ZEISS V8 scopes.
All magnifications, from the lowest to the highest levels, allow infinitely variable settings.
