BASC and the Game Farmers? Association (GFA)are to launch a joint campaign to encourage all shoots to buy British-reared stock from a local source that complies with the Gamebird Code. GFA chairman Jonathan Crow said: ?Good-quality gamebirds are essential to good shooting and the best way to guarantee good poults is to buy from a local GFA member.?

The two organisations met several months ago to plan a campaign to implement the new code. Cards with 10 top tips on buying gamebirds will be available from both bodies.
