A gamekeeper at the Stody Estate in Norfolk has been charged with illegally killing 16 wild birds.

Allen Lambert has been accused of killing 14 buzzards, a sparrowhawk and a tawny owl as well as failing to comply with a firearms certificate, possession of nine buzzards and four counts of possession and storage of banned poisons and pesticides.

No one from the estate was available for comment.
