Communications minister Ed Vaizey has backed a plan by Japanese company Fujitsu to provide superfast broadband to Britain?s countryside communities. Fujitsu says that its proposals, which would require £500 million of public money, would reach 5million rural homes and breathe new life into remote communities ?starved of participating fully in the UK economy.?
