It is understood that he was forced to resign after he went against the views of the board and members by stating to the London 2012 organising committee that British Shooting now agreed that Bisley was not a suitable venue to hold the Olympic shooting events British Shooting continues to campaign for a venue that provides a legacy for shooting and is opposed to the shooting competitions being held at the temporary venue at Woolwich.
