People involved in shooting sports should be on the lookout for signs of trees infected with Chalara ash dieback disease, says BASC.
According to a DEFRA survey of more than 2,500 areas across the country, the disease has now been confirmed in 115 sites.
BASC?s director of conservation, Tim Russell, said: ?Everyone involved in shooting should look out for the signs of infected trees, such as lesions and cankers on the bark and, in the spring, dieback of foliage.
