Sovereign Housing Association tenants can now keep guns: Sovereign Housing Association (SHA) has revised proposals to prohibit tenants from keeping firearms in their properties.
BASC and Richard Benyon, MP for Newbury, objected to the proposals and worked with the SHA, which has some 35,000 homes in the south and south-west of England, to find a better policy.
The new proposals will allow tenants to keep firearms in secure storage.
BASC’s director of firearms, Bill Harriman, said: “We are delighted that the SHA has revised its policy.”
