Kent Wildfowling and Conservation Association is to merge with an Essex wildfowling club
The powerful Kent Wildfowling and Conservation Association (KWCA) has announced that it is to merge with an Essex wildfowling club, and that it is planning to expand its land portfolio further in the future.
The formal amalgamation between the Leigh-on-Sea Wildfowlers Association (LOSWA) and the KWCA means the combined membership of the two clubs will exceed 500.
KWCA officials say the merger will strengthen the position of both clubs, and in particular ?help to protect wildfowling in Essex?.
Chairman Alan Jarrett said: ?I would particularly like to pay tribute to the officers, committee and membership of LOSWA for having the foresight and courage to merge with the KWCA. We will now all work together towards common goals, and wildfowling will be the beneficiary.?
The KWCA was already Britain?s largest wildfowling association, with a total land portfolio stretching over 11,500 acres and four counties ? Kent, East Sussex, Essex and Norfolk.
