The temporary venue, in the grounds of the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, will also host Paralympic archery events before sections of it are transported to Glasgow for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Woolwich residents had their first look inside during a guided tour last week. Its strange design ? brightly coloured circular openings are dotted over the structures to ?help create tension and provide natural ventilation and light? ? caused controversy, with one local describing it as ?like something out of Teletubbies?.
